Ronald Fodge of Benton, son of the late John D. Westly Washington and Taletha Ann Crank Fodge, was born in Canalou, Missouri on January 7, 1946, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on March 2, 2019, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 25 days.
Mr. Fodge had grown up in Canalou and had lived in the Benton for many years. He had owned and operated Fodge Lawn Care. He was a Radio Controlled air plane builder, was a member of the Semo R.C. Flyers and a member of the Church of Christ in Sikeston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On September 8, 1968, he was married to Irma Jean Briley.
Surviving are his wife, Irma Jean Fodge of Benton; three sons, Spencer Fodge and Clarence Fodge both of Sikeston, J. D. Fodge of Leopold; two daughters, Ronda Bradham and Angela Fodge both of Benton; ten grandchildren; one brother, Spencer Fodge of St. Louis; and two sisters, Joyce Clubbs of Cahokia, Illinois and Trudy Huston of Cape Girardeau. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Fodge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, after 12:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter until time for services at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
