Roger Stephen Quinton, the son of the late George M. and Wilma Imogene Shell Quinton, was born in Dexter, Missouri on April 24, 1945, and passed away at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on August 5, 2013, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 12 days.
He had lived in Dexter, Missouri all of his life. He was a musician and played the guitar at many area locations. He had worked at IXL as a machine operator.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Walker of Malden, Missouri and Kimberly Adkins of Pollard, Arkansas; three sons, Stephen Quinton of Dexter, Missouri, Robert Quinton of Vincennes, Indiana, and Christopher Quinton of Washington, Indiana; three brothers, James Quinton of Bloomfield, Gary Quinton of Sikeston, Bob Quinton of Grandin, Missouri; a sister, Ellen Maghrabi of Albany, Oregon; and fifteen grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Anna Mae Quinton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
