Robert "Buster" Plummer, son of the late R. G. and Elizabeth Plummer, was born in Gideon, Missouri on June 4, 1920, and passed away at his daughter's home in Dexter, Missouri on January 18, 2009 at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Mr. Plummer had lived in Dexter and had lived the past thirty years in Bloomfield, Missouri. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and from farming. He had served in the 303rd Bomber Group during WWII and had also served in Vietman. He had received One Bronze Star for Air Offensive Europe Campaign, Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
On May 5, 1956, he was married to Dorothy Remona Duncan in Dexter, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Remona Plummer of Dexter, Missouri, one daughter and son in law: Joyce & Ken Sanders of Dexter, Missouri; one son & daughter in law, Robert & Carol Plummer of St. Charles, Missouri; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Middleton and one sister, Iva Middleton.
