Robert Wayne McCarver

Robert Wayne "Bob" McCarver, the son of the late Evan and Clara Nance McCarver, was born in Malden, Missouri on November 9, 1916, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare facility in Dexter, Missouri on March 30, 2007, at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 21 days. He had lived in Dexter since 1948. He was a retired mechanics instructor with the Mingo Job Corps and had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter since 1948. On October 9, 1939, he was married to Marjorie Sandefur in Malden, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie McCarver of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter and husband, Judy & Hoy Heise of Brookfield, Connecticut; two grandsons, Robbie and wife Cary of Apex, North Carolina, Chris Heise of San Diego, California; two great grandchildren; one brother, Evan McCarver, Jr. of Lake Wales, Florida; and one sister, Elizabeth Davis of Malden, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Everett McCarver and one sister, Virginia Hogg. Friends may call on Monday, April 2, 2007, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Tom Bass of Cape Girardeau and Steve Moody of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Private interment will be in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
