Rickie Coleman

Rickie Coleman, son of the late Benson and Vergie Thurman Coleman, was born in Gideon, Missouri on September 14, 1948, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Dexter, Missouri on April 13, 2010, at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 30 days. He had lived in Ripley County, Missouri before moving to Dexter in 1991. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Church near Dexter, Missouri and was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served in Vietnam. On December 31, 1989, he was married to Jackie O'Neal in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Jackie Coleman of Dexter, Missouri; three sons and daughter in law, Richard A. Coleman of Edwards Air Force Base in California, Aaron Curtis & Melissa Lynn O'Neal, James Ryan O'Neal of Orlando, Florida; two grandchildren, Aleyshia Nacole and Aerrin Riann O'Neal both of Dexter, Missouri; two brothers and spouse, Stephen Joseph & Sheri Coleman of Doniphan, Missouri and Michael William Coleman of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and friends survive. Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2010, after 11:00 AM at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri. Services will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Shearon of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
