Richard May

Richard May of Bloomfield, son of the late Clacy and Nellie Irene Pry May, was born in Bloomfield on February 17, 1945, and passed away at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on March 10, 2019, at the age of 74 years and 21 days. Richard had lived in Bloomfield all of his life. He was a retired manager with International Hat, a consultant with Cap America and was a member of the Hill's General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He was an avid fisherman, a Cardinal Baseball fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends. On October 19, 1963, he was married to Deloris Craig in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Deloris May of Bloomfield; a special nephew and wife, Greg & Mary Ramsey of Cape Girardeau; and life long friend, Sue Tippen of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, David May, one brother, Robert May, and one sister, Juanita Reeves. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Hill's Cemetery in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in the Hill's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
