Richard "Dick" Hendry, the son of the late Abe D. and Ruby Pettingill Hendry, was born in Villisca, Iowa on May 31, 1940, and passed away at his home near Wappapello, Missouri on May 14, 2007, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 13 days. He had lived at the Lake of the Ozarks and St. Louis County before moving to Wappapello, Missouri many years ago. He had worked as a dynamite specialist with N. B. Harty Construction. He attended the Egypt Church in Puxico, Missouri and enjoyed fishing. On October 14, 1961, he was married to Rosalie Barnhart in Miller County, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Rosalie Hendry of Wappapello, Missouri; three sons, Richard "Pete" Hendry and Charles Wayne Hendry both of Eldon, Missouri, Douglas Ray Hendry of Wappapello, Missouri; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Hickie of Eldon, Missouri and Betty Roark of Iberia, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Pastor Glenn Marshall of Poplar Bluff, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
