Richard O. Hardin, Sr., son of the late Albert Louis and Lola Mae Owens Hardin, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 3, 1932, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on April 28, 2010, at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 25 days. Mr. Hardin had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri the past 48 yearsw. He was retired from SEMO Electric Cooperative where he had worked as the branch manager. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #153. On July 3, 1964, he married Mary Alice Rhodes in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Hardin of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Beverly Greer of Lebanon, Tennessee; one son, Richard O. Hardin, Jr. of Bloomfield, Missouri; two grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Myers of Cottage Hills, Illinois and Peggy Maxwell of Blytheville, Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two half-brothers. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Greg Stevens of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
