Richard G. Carson
Richard G. Carson, son of the late Lawrence E. Carson and Norma Pippins Carson, was born in Bernie, Missouri on September 11, 1936, and passed away at the Cypress Point Healthcare facility in Dexter, Missouri on January 12, 2006, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 1 day.
He was resident of Bloomfield, Missouri and a former resident of St. Charles, Illinois for twenty years. He had worked for the City Of Dexter Street Department and attended the Alliance Church of Bernie. He had served in U.S. Army.
On November 18, 1966, he was married to Eleanor South. She preceded him in death in 1993. On August 9, 1997 he was married to Jolene Hester in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Jolene Carson of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Alice Garness of Evansville, Indiana and Barbara Murdach of Ft. Myers, Florida; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren; two sisters: Peggy Burton of Danridge, Tennessee and June Patterson of Jefferson City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirlene Wilkins.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Cleatus Patterson of Bernie, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
