Reuben Johnson, son of the late Henry Rosco and Lectie Leona Boyles Johnson, was born in Qulin, Missouri on June 12, 1931, and passed away at his home near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 2, 2011, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 21 days.
Mr. Johnson had lived in Bloomfield the past 41 years. He had worked at as a welder at Arvin Automotive until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
On December 22, 1962 he was married to Catherine Winchester in Alton, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Johnson of Bloomfield, Missouri; one son, Harold Winchester of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Dexter, Missouri, Dee Davis Carr of Sebree, Kentucky; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Kenpisty of Detroit, Michigan. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 6, 2011, at 11:00 am in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors conducted. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
