Raymond "Red" Parker, Sr., son of the late William and Evelyn McDaniel Parker, was born in Perkins, Missouri on January 7, 1914, and passed away at the Arbor Place in Festus, Missouri on March 13, 2006, at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 6 days.
He had worked as a farmer for many years.
He was married to Caroline Blanche Surface and she preceded him in death on December 15, 1983.
Surviving are five sons, Donald Ray "Road Runner" (Shirley) Parker of Imperial, Missouri, Raymond (Belinda) Parker of Des Arc, Missouri, Poncho (Debra) Parker of Barnhart, Missouri, Gabriel Parker and J. C. (Brenda) Parker of Chicago, Illinois; four daughters, Susan (Jim) Copeland of Morley, Missouri, Patricia (Sam) Henson of Bell City, Missouri, Norma (Robert) Matney and Wanda Parker of Dexter, Missouri, thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three children and one brother.
Friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 16, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
