Raymond Curtis O'Neal, the son of the late James and Jennie Hibbard O'Neal, was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on February 24, 1915, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 4, 2008, at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 11 days.
Mr. O'Neal had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri most of his life. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri.
On December 31, 1947, he was married to Anna Lois O'Neal in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2007.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Doug and Cyndi O'Neal of Bloomfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kurtis and Emily O'Neal both of Bloomfield, Missouri; one brother, Glen O'Neal of Jackson, Tennessee; and four sisters, Juanita Rankin of Grayridge, Missouri, Opal Smith of Jackson, Tennessee, Faye Wheeler and Mayme McConnaghay both of Flint, Michigan. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by twin siblings in infancy, two sisters, Grace Adams, Lavelle Young, and seven brothers, Joe, John, Earl, Herbert, Fred, Omar, and Lehman O'Neal.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Febraury 13, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Jeffery Corlew of Essex, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
