Raleigh "Fuzz" Palmer, son of the late Henry Walter and Minnie Bell Bush Palmer, was born in Zeta, Missouri on July 23, 1922, and passed away at his home in Aquilla, Missouri on November 6, 2009, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 14 days.
Mr. Palmer had lived in Aquilla, Missouri most of his life. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church in Aquilla and was a member of the Rhythm Rustlers musical group. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
On August 18, 1940, he was married to Mildred Walker in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Palmer of Aquilla, Missouri; one son, Jim Palmer of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters, Elsie Fry of Bloomfield, Missouri, Kathy Hyslop of Advance, Missouri; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Gaines, two grandchildren; four sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call on Sunday, November 8, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 9, 2009, at 1:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Raymond Hanna officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
