Peggy Maxine Parks, daughter of the late James Samuel and Frances Ruby Baker, was born in Asherville, Missouri on July 14, 1933, and passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri on August 29, 2018, at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 16 days.

Peggy had lived in St. Louis where she worked as a supervisor for the Grove Company Junior Sprotsware in Brentwood, Missouri for twenty-five years. She moved to Wappapello in 1985 and to Bloomfield in 2007. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

On February 4, 1950, she was married to James Lester Parks. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1990.

Surviving are one daughter and husband, Glenda (Michael) Shaw of O'Fallon, MO; two sons and wife, Gary (Lisa) Parks of Maplewood, Darrell Parks of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Paulette Parks of Maplewood. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Lester Parks, two grandsons, Jamie Parks and Steven Shaw; two brothers, and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
