Pauline Jones, the daughter of the late Raymond M. and Lola Irene McKnight Coalter, was born in Palaski, Tennessee on March 9, 1929, and passed away at her home in Bernie, Missouri on August 18, 2008, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 9 days. Mrs. Jones lived her whole life in the Risco and Bernie, Missouri area and had lived in Bernie since 1971. She had attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Bernie, Missouri. She dearly loved her grandchildren and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan. She also enjoyed the company of her Amazon Parrot, Barney, for over twenty years. She first married Wilford McKnight and he preceded her in death. She then married Owen M. Jones on August 16, 1970. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1990. Surviving are five daughters, Louise Gerould of Menasha, Wisconsin, Bobbie Adams of Dexter, Missouri, Sarah Gyarmathy of Rockport, Texas, Faye Newton of Granite City, Illinois, Ann Adams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two step-daughters, Darlene Ferrell, Mary Hamilton; four step-sons, Dale, Delmer, Jerry, and Billy Wayne Jones; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday August 20, 2008, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick of Powe, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
