Paul Leroy Simpson of Wappapello, Missouri born to the late Kenneth and Syliva (Faries) Simpson on December 06, 1936 in Wappapello, Missouri passed away on December 25, 2021 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 85 years. Paul had lived in the Wappapello, Missouri area most of his life. He was a Mason for 50 years, he started the first Lions Club in Wappapello, Missouri and the first volunteer fire department in Wappapello where he also served as a firefighter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. Paul married Norma Reynolds in February 1973 she survives of the home. Paul is survived by his wife Norma Simpson; one daughter Sammi Leigh (Jeffrey) Croy of Wappapello, Missouri; two stepdaughters Debbie (Tony) Rodewald of Qulin, Missouri and Addie Skeen of Wappapello; nine grandchildren Brandon Croy, Dalton Croy, Brittany Croy, Adam Alsup, Jennifer Alsup, Matthew Skeens, Brad Fox, Jason Rodewald and Justin Rodewald; nine great grandchildren Tristin Alsup, Brooke Alsup, Garrett Alsup, Lyla Skeens, Megan Fox, Claire Fox, Ella Rodewald, Annie Rodewald and Jaden Rodewald; two brothers Kenneth Leon Simpson of Wappapello, Missouri and Randy (Dee) Simpson of Dexter, Missouri; two sisters Betty Jane (Mel) Foriester of Springfield, Missouri and Sheila (Tim) Crook of Puxico, Missouri; one dear uncle Dr. James Faries of Williamsville, Missouri. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Syliva Simpson; one grandson William Curtis “Curt” Fox; three nephews Kenny Simpson, Michael Simpson and Kevin Foriester. A host of family and friends also survive. Memorial Service will be held on Friday December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church in Wappapello, Missouri.
