Otis Watts, son of the late Obe and Addie Kynion Watts, was born in Bell City, Missouri on August 20, 1923, and passed away at his home near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 21, 2011, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 1 days.
Mr. Watts had lived near Bloomfield, Missouri all his life. He had been a farmer all his life until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Garden Ridge General Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.
On October 22, 1945, he was married to Mary Dockery in Bloomfield, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2005.
Surviving are one son, James Watts of Bloomfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Inez Abner of Bell City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 10:00 am in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Bill Fox of Bloomfield, Missouri and Rev. Harold Carter of Bernie, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
