Otelia Chapman

Florence, SC. Otelia Chapman, 97, died Tuesday, July 12, after a long illness. Otelia (affectionately known to friends and family as �Tillie�) was born June 4, 1914, in Stoddard County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Norman Jasper Coburn and Ethel Siler Coburn. A graduate of Bloomfield (Missouri) High School, she married Evert Leon Chapman on November 22, 1932. She and her husband were long-time residents of Bloomfield and Sikeston, Missouri. In 2003, she became a resident of Florence and lived the last two years of her life at the Presbyterian Home of Florence. Otelia was predeceased by her husband and is survived by two sons, Edgar L. Chapman of East Peoria, IL, and Richard N. Chapman (Marilyn) of Florence, and three grandsons, Benjamin P. Chapman of Rochester, New York, Terrence L. Chapman (Kathy-Ann) of Austin, Texas, and R. Keith Chapman (Radiance) of Brooklyn, New York. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at Stoudenmire-Dowling. A committal service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri directed by Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home.
