Oscar Leo Pullum, son of the late Herbert Milton and Serena Jane McCoy Pullum, was born in Parma, Missouri on October 19, 1933, and passed away at his home in Essex, Missouri on December 21, 2012, at the age of 79.
He lived in Essex most all his life where he worked as a farmer.
On September 25, 1952 he was married to Myrul Jean Pullum in Bernie, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2011.
Surviving are four sons, Leon Pullum of Bloomfield, Missouri, Richard Pullum of Essex, Missouri, James and Tony Pullum both of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy Miller of Portageville, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Louise Duncan; four brothers, Andrew, Bill, Lloyd and Floyd Pullum and four sisters, Martha Williams, Pearl Knupp, Virgie Qualls and Dorthy Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 28, 2012 after 11:00 AM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
