Opal Stickles, daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel Jarrells Edwards, was born in Dexter, Missouri on November 26, 1922, and passed away at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on June 22, 2007, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 27 days.
Mrs. Stickles had lived in Dexter, Missouri all her life and was a member of the Church of Christ.
On September 20, 1941, she was married to Argil Stickles in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1987.
Surviving are one daughter, Pearl Ashley of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Terry Stickles of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Floyd Edwards of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Junior and Alfred Edwards and one sister, Lorene Edwards.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 23, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sadlers Chapel Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
