Opal A. Campbell Opal A. Campbell, the daughter of the late L. R. "Pat" and Talitha Aslin Patterson, was born in Keo, Arkansas on October 5, 1915, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on March 22, 2005, at the age of 89 years, 5 months and 17 days. Mrs. Campbell had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri. In 1934 she was married to Louis A. Doerr in Bloomfield, Missouri, He preceded her in death. In 1978 she was married to Harry Campbell. He preceded her in death in 1982. Surviving are two daughters: Margarette Norman of St. Louis, Missouri, Pat Heitmann of Belton, Missouri, ten grandchildren, Eighteen great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, two sisters: Loyce Reed and Virginia Parker both of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers: L. R. Patterson, Jr., Jimmie Patterson, four sisters: Barbara Mouser, Pauline Hardy, Ruth Wann, and Patricia A. Patterson. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2005, at 10:30 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Kevin Chenoweth of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
