Oma L. White
Oma L. White, age 85, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, formerly of Dudley, Missouri, died at 10:30 PM on November 3, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. White was born February 14, 1923, in Broseley, Missouri, the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Carroll Roe. On May 24, 1939, she married Woodrow W. White in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1998, she is also preceded by a son, Carl, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. White had lived in the Dudley, Missouri area most of her life where she was a member of the Dudley Community Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family and gardening. She always had a smile on her face and thought that there was nothing she could not accomplish.
Surviving three daughters, Connie Wieda-Stark and husband Ray of St. Peter, Illinois, Dolores Stringer and husband Bill of Park Hills, Missouri and Lovetia White and husband Rick of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Leaonard Roe of Bonne Terre, Missouri and one sister, Viva Brown of Broseley, Missouri. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Ryan Helton of Dudley, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
