Norman R. Hann, Sr., son of Esther A. Michl Hann and the late Bernard Hann, was born in Jasper Co., Illinois on November 15, 1934, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 5, 2007, at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 20 days. Mr. Hann had moved to Dexter in 1965. He had worked as a Heating and Air Contractor and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, Missouri. On March 15, 2000, he was married to Susan Harrison in Bloomfield, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Susan Hann of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Norman Richard Hann, Jr. of Cape Girardeau Missouri, Rick Hann of Pasedena, Texas, five daughters, Shannon Elizabeth Brooke Hann of Dexter, Missouri, Sheila Nebors of Snellville, Georgia, June Wilson of Nachadoshes, Texas, Liz Dear of Laport, Texas, and Lisa McCarthy of Buford, Georgia. He is also survived by six brothers; Phillip Hann and Paul Hann both of Dexter, Missouri, Neal Hann of Morehouse, Missouri, Julian Hann of Russellville, Arkansas, Leon Hann of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Joseph Hann of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, seven sisters; Bernadine Evans of Troy, Missouri, Dolores Bee and Joan Moore both of Sikeston, Missouri, Trinita Smith of Pontiac, Missouri, Mary Latham of Matthews, Missouri, Matilda McMullian of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Eileen Hann of Denver, Colorado; Fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Jacques Hann, and his father, Bernard A. Hann. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, Missouri with Father Scott Sunnenberg of Sikeston, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
