Nola Hoggard

Nola C. Hoggard, daughter of the late Clyde, Sr. and Martha Rice Laird, was born on March 4, 1949, in and passed away at her home in Advance on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 8 days. She had been a resident of Southeast Missouri all her life and had lived in Advance the past 17 years. She was of the General Baptist Faith. On May 23, 1997, she was married to Michel D. Hoggard in Wayne Co., Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Michel D. Hoggard of Advance; two sons, Richard Walker of Bernie, Jerry Walker of Dexter; one step-son, Allen Hoggard of Helena, Montana; three grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Whitley of Bloomfield; three brothers, Lyndell Laird of Advance, Sam Laird of Wappapello and Clyde Laird, Jr. of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Laverne Leon and Larry Laird. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Stan Hargus officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
