Nellie B. Linson, the daughter of the late Louis Everest and Mary M. Trombley Boismenue, was born in West End, Illinois on January 2, 1902, and passed away at her daughters home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 16, 2006, at the age of 104 years, 5 months and 14 days.
Mrs. Linson was the only living charter member left of the Assembly Of God Church in Puxico, Missouri. Her special church that she attended was the Egypt Church in Puxico. She loved being with her family. Her hobbies included gardening and flowers in which she always shared with her family and others..
On November 18, 1919, she was married to Henry Junice Linson in Puxico, Missouri who preceded her in death on September 17, 1975.
Surviving are one son, Donald Linson of Martin, Tennessee; six daughters, Tula Mae Langford of Puxico, Missouri, Pauline Allen of Oletha, Colorado, Mary Baumann of Fenton, Missouri, Clara Stilts of McGee, Missouri, Wilma Allbritton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Shirley Linson of Puxico, Missouri; 31 grandchilden, 62 great grandchildren, 61 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great granchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by 5 children: 3 sons, Raymond, Claude, and John Linson and 2 in infancy, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Wayne Burchett of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
