Myrtle Swallows

Myrlte Marie Swallows of Dexter, Missouri born to the late Melvin and Lola (Davis) Slaughter on August 18, 1930 in Stoddard County, Missouri and passed away on September 03, 2021 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 91 years. Myrtle married Elmer Allen Swallows on August 16, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas. She attended the First Christian Church in Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, camping and fishing. Myrtle is survived by two sons Allen (Vera) Swallows of Dexter, Missouri and Dean (Marsha) Swallows of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren Travis (Kelly) Swallows of Ohio, Jeff Swallows of Dudley, Missouri, Jerod (Amy) Swallows of Puxico, Missouri and Jerremy Swallows of Dexter, Missouri; six great grandchildren; one sister Juanita Shelton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Lola Slaughter; her husband Elmer Swallows and one great grandson Jeffrey Swallows. A host of family and friends also survive. Visitation will be Wednesday September 08, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. 1Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Brother Ray Placher officiating.
