Mildred Scroggins, daughter of the late Johnny and Charity Prince Stobaugh, was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on May 23, 1918, and passed away at the Cypress Point Health Care facility in Dexter, Missouri on December 6, 2007, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 14 days. Mrs. Scroggins had lived in Center Ridge, Arkansas before moving to Dexter, Missouri in 1951. She was a home maker and a member of the Church of Christ. On October 31, 1932, she was married to Clyde Scroggins in Center Ridge, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Mary M. Corder of Dexter, Missouri, Anna Ruth Dial of Granite City, Illinois; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Doyle Stobaugh of Conway, Arkansas. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Sue Scroggins and one brother, Ardith Stobaugh. Friends may call on Saturday, December 8, 2007, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2007, at 1:30 P.M. in the Center Ridge Cemetery in Center Ridge, Arkansas with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
