Mildred Louise McClain, the daughter of Vercie Dunivan Cooper and the late Vernon Cooper, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on June 28, 1941, and passed away at her home in Bloomfield, Missouri on December 27, 2005, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 29 days.
She had lived in Dexter and Bloomfield all her life and was a resident of Bloomfield at this time. She was a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church near Aquilla, Missouri. She had worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart for many years.
On December 5, 1964, she was married to Ray McClain in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Ray McClain of Bloomfield, Missouri; one daughter, Lesley Barbour of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandchildren; her mother, Vercie Cooper of Bloomfield, Missouri, three brothers, Milford and Larry Cooper both of Bloomfield, Missouri, Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance, Missouri; three sisters, Linda Sue McRoy, Velma White both of Bloomfield, Missouri and Janet Abernathy of Advance, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Dakota Gross.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 30, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance, Missouri officiating.
