Mildred Hunsaker, daughter of the late Elmer Thomas and Glydas Eva Menley Robinson, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on February 22, 1928, and passed away at the Winchester Place in Bernie, Missouri on June 27, 2010, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 5 days.
She had lived in Dexter, Missouri all of her life. She was a member of the Castor River General Baptist Church near Essex, Missouri. She was a retired seamstress from Elders Manufacturing and had worked as a cook for the Dexter Public Schools for 22 years.
On July 24, 1946, she was married to Rev. John David "J. D." Hunsaker. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1988.
Surviving are one son, David Hunsaker of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Marolyn Joyce Williams of Campbell, Missouri, Janice Williamson of Sedgwick, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Robinson of Dexter, Missouri; two sisters, Pansy Pendergrass of Lawton, Oklahoma and Marie Hester of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Cahow; one grandson, John Cahow; and two sisters, Vivian Smith and Beverly Robinson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
