Mildred Lucinda Blackburn, the daughter of the late Samuel Sanford and Nellie Mae Whitworth Hardin, was born in Clinton, Arkansas on June 28, 1931, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on April 19, 2008, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 22 days.
Mrs. Blackburn had lived most of her life in Parma, Missouri. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma.
On February 16, 1954, she was married to Tommy Blackburn in Corinth, Mississippi.
Surviving are her husband Tommy Blackburn of Parma, Missouri; three sons & daughters in law, Sam and Janet Blackburn of Sikeston, Missouri, Carl and Kaye Blackburn of New Madrid, Missouri, Chris Blackburn of Parma, Missouri; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Hardin of Malden, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Sam, Lyle, Joe, Herbert, Hubert, Wendell and Bill Hardin.
Graveside Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Bro. Bud Mayes of Malden, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
