Melba Jane Hunsaker-Corbin, the daughter of the late Verlon L. and Ruth Hatley Fincher, was born in Diehlstadt, Missouri on May 4, 1940, and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on January 14, 2007, at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 10 days.
Mrs. Corbin had been raised in the Essex, Missouri area, had lived in St. Louis, Missouri for ten years and moved to Dexter in June of 2006. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are four sons, Russell Hunsaker of Springfield, Missouri, Gary Hunsaker of Dowell, Illinois, Tommy Hunsaker and Kevin Hunsaker both of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Sharon Snodgrass of Moberly, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Fincher of Marmaduke, Arkansas; four sisters, Verline Smith of Hole in the Wall, Tennessee, Janice Grymes of Portageville, Missouri, Donna Boone of Kennett, Missouri, and Elaine Holland of Reeds, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grand-daughter, Kathy Hunsaker and one brother, Milburn "Toad" Fincher.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
