Mattie Gaskins

Mattie L. Tilley Gaskins, daughter of the late William McKinley and Maudie Anderson Hudson, was born in Dover, Arkansas on April 27, 1932, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on October 28, 2009, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 1 day. Mrs. Gaskins had lived in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Bloomfield twent years ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield, Missouri. She was first married to Carl "Pete" Tilley on September 2, 1954, in Salcedo, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1998. On October 22, 2002, she was married to Cleo Gaskins in Mt. View, Arkansas. Surviving are her husband, Cleo Gaskins of Bloomfield, Missouri; one brother, Lewis Hudson of St. Charles, Missouri; one sister, Estelle Smith of O'Fallon, Missouri; a niece raised as a daughter, Kelly Friedrich of Bloomfield, Missouri; and her great niece raised as a granddaughter, Danielle Dockins of Bloomfield, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Hudson; and one sister, Ruth Mason. Friends may call on Friday, October 30, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 10:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Robert Long of Lincoln, Illinois and Tev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
