Mary Emojean Tucker, daughter of the late William Ray and Edna Loretta McCunn Bacon, was born September 2, 1923, and passed away on January 25, 2010, at Brighton Gardens of Denver Nursing Home at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 23 days.
She had lived in Bloomfield, Missouri for many years. She had moved to Florida for a brief time and then to Denver, Colorado three and a half years ago. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield and was a past member of the Eastern Star.
On August 2, 1940, she was married to Charles Evans Tucker. He preceded her in death in on July 25, 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Tucker of Bloomfield, Missouri, Charles R. Tucker of Ocala, Florida; two daughters, Sue Nance of Lyford, Texas, Mary Tucker-Olive of Aurora, Colorado, eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Janice Bacon Asberry of Dexter, Missouri and Vern Tucker of Catawba, Virginia. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Bacon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Susan Hoyle of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
