Mary Osterburg, daughter of the late Raymond and Emma Webber, was born in Dexter, Missouri on January 9, 1919, and passed away at Provena St. Joseph's in Illinois on May 24, 2007, at the age of 88 years.
Mrs. Osterburg had worked at the Trammel Agency and Stovall's Clothing Store in Dexter, Missouri. She moved to Washington, DC and worked for the U. S. Government and the Westinghouse Science Services. She married Otto E. Osterburg on June 29, 1946, in Newark, NJ and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1996. After her marriage to Otto she spent a lot of time in Dexter where she worked at the Citizen's Bank and at Webber's Motors as bookkeeper. She moved to Freeport, Illinois when her husband was reassigned as NCOIC of Freeport Army Reserve Center and worked at the State Bank of Freeport until her retirement. She had acted as the bookkeeper for St. Thomas Church for many years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, VFW Aux., Stephenson Nursing Center Aux., Women's Chamber of Commerce, Provena St. Joseph's Aux., and State Bank Retirees. She enjoyed her family, nieces and nephews.
Surviving are two sisters, Llewlyn Burch of Joliet, Illinois, Rosalie Turner of Freeport, Illinois and one brother, Raymond Webber of Dexter, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport, Illinois with Msgr. P. William McDonnell officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 10:00 AM with Burke Tubbs Funeral Home of Freeport, Illinois and Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
