Mary Ormerod

Mary Evelyn Ormerod, daughter of the late John Lee and Mary Susan Worth Atwill, was born in Portageville, Missouri on December 20, 1919, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri on November 7, 2007, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 18 days. Mrs. Ormerod had lived in Southeast Missouri as a young woman and had spent over forty years in Clearwater, Florida, she moved to Dexter in 2004. She was a retired self employed beautician and was a member of the Baptist Church in Florida. She was married to Robert H. Ormerod in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He preceded her in death in 2001. Surviving are one daughter, Faye Strauser of Dexter, Missouri; two step-sons, Robert H. Ormerod II of Schenectady, New York, Ronald H. Ormerod of Naples, Florida; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Nathanel Atwill of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kenneth Allen Atwill of Attleboro, Masssachusetts. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call on Saturday November 10, 2007, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida. Interment will be in the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida at a later date with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of local arrangements.
