Mary Hildred McLean, daughter of the late George Washington and Nellie Mae Underwood Shadowens, was born in Cobb, Missouri on March 15, 1924, and passed away at Prairie View Nursing in Bloomfield, Missouri on April 4, 2024, at the age of 100 years old.
She had lived in Puxico most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico. She had worked at Wilson's 5 & 10, for many years, and later at Tri-County Home Health as a home maker.
Surviving are one son, Rickey (Patti) McLean of Puxico, Three daughters, Janie (Jim) Oglesby of Grenville, Kentucky, Ginger (Tom) Hendrix and Robin (Johnny) Powell of Puxico. Six grandchildren, Chrystal (Jeff) Holman, Dustin (Samantha) Millspaugh, Brandi Robinson, Josh (Chesley) Kaiser, Whitney Millspaugh, Jentry Kaiser. Nine great-grandchildren, Bailey McLean, Caden Millspaugh, Corbin McGowen, Aricka and Isabella Robinson, Bryson and Hadley Kaiser, Brantley Thompson, and Dawson Gray. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elvis Shadowens, and sister, Lillie Payton.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri, with the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon and Rev. Marshall Link of Puxico officiating.
Internment will follow at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins And Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
