Mary Ellen Marcum

Mary Ellen Marcum of Wappapello, Missouri was born on February 23, 1942 in East Prairie, Missouri and passed away on August 14, 2021 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mary was married on February 14, 1959 to Donnie Ray Marcum and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2015. She lived in Sikeston from 1958 until 1981 when she moved to Wappapello, Missouri where she enjoyed spending time on the lake with her grandchildren. She loved quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, hiking, boating and fishing. Mary is survived by one daughter Barbara Kaye (Harold) Britt of Sikeston, Missouri; two sons Steven Ray Marcum of Wappapello, Missouri and Bradford Dewayne (Denise) Marcum of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren Tabitha (Chuck) Chesmore of Sikeston, Missouri Frankie Brown of Sikeston, Missouri, Christopher Ray Marcum of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Paig (Zack) Carnahan of Dexter, Missouri and Keith (Monica) Marino of Piedmont, Missouri; 13 great grandchildren Braden ( Gwendolynn) Brown, Dawson (Hannah) Brown, Brett, Ethan, Little Frankie, Christian, Easton, Addyson Brown, Mikeala Chesmore, Harley Chesmore, Travis Carnahan, Farrah, Tyron, Jade Marino. A Host of family and friends also survive. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, father, six brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Service will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home Puxico, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
