Mary Carter of Dexter, Missouri was born to the late Emory Liman and Launa Mae Cook Link on December 9, 1939 in Aquila, Missouri and passed away on February 21, 2021 at her home in Dexter, Missouri.
Mary married the love of her life Irvon Clay Carter on July 3, 1956 in Bernie Missouri and he passed away on June 20, 2009.
Mary had been a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and moved back to Dexter, Missouri she lived in the Stoddard County area most of her life. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, singing, and being a Sunday school teacher. She loved her little chihuahua dog Lil Bit.
Surviving Mary is, three daughters Carline Crosby of Dexter, Missouri Darline (Joe) Grebe of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Donna Zavadil of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; five grandchildren; thirteen great grand children and several great great grandchildren; one sister Laverna Link of Illinois. A host of family, friends, nieces and nephews also survive. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Harvie Link, one grandson Harley Zavadil, and two son in laws Guy Zavadil and Jim Crosby.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021, from 2 p.m. to p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Joe Ogelvie of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
