Mary Lee Burton
Mary Lee Burton, the daughter of the late Alfred Lee and Betsie Mae Whitenberg Taylor, was born in White Oak, Missouri on June 9, 1931, and passed away at her home in Dexter, Missouri on March 15, 2005, at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 6 days.
Mrs. Burton had lived in Piedmont and St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Dexter in 1999.
In 1955 she was married to Harold L. Burton in Desoto, Mississippi and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2001. Also preceding her in death was one daughter: Deborah Lynn Laxton in October of 1999.
Surviving are one daughter: Mary Ellen Allen of Dexter, Missouri, one son: Richard Burton of Dexter, Missouri, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four brothers: Doyle Taylor of St. Ann, Missouri, Jim Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri, Douglas Taylor of Jennings, Missouri, Jerry Taylor of Sunset Hill, Missouri, seven sisters: Pauline Swaringim, Rosemary Vaughn, Barbara McFarlen, Peggy Teel and Lois Alexander all of Dexter, Missouri, Betty Rutherford of Fredericktown, Missouri and Brenda Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 1:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Daniel Martin and Rev. Kenneth Biggs both of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
