Marvin Leon Stewart, Jr., son of the late Marvin Leon Stewart, Sr. and Sue Ann Hazel Stewart Lusk, was born in Dexter, Missouri on September 2, 1963, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on February 17, 2014, at the age of 50 years.
He had lived in the Dexter area most of his life. He had worked as a pipe layer on an oil rig and in landscaping until his health forced his retirement.
Surviving are his companion of 18 years, Penny Akin of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Mark Akin of Dexter, Michael Akin of Oran; one daughter, Angela Charles of Bernie; numerous grandchildren; five brothers, Edward Lusk of Boonville, Danny Lusk of Cape Girardeau, Billy Lusk of Dexter, Rick McIrvin of Poplar Bluff, James McIrvin of Neelyville; four sisters, Brenda Cossey and Margaret Hopkins both of Bloomfield, Tina Jones of Reno, Nevada and Sherry Leathers of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Dewey Dean Lusk; one sister, Mary Ellen Stewart; and one brother, Lee W. Lusk.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with of Dexter officiating.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
