Martin Keith Payne, the son of Thomas C. Payne and Audrie Moore Payne, was born in Advance, Missouri on February 6, 1959, and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 7, 2006, at the age of 47 years, 5 months and 1 day. Martin had lived in the Puxico area for most of his life. He was a self employed truck driver. He was a 1977 graduate of Puxico High School. His hobbies included fishing, working in his shop and spending time with children and his granddaughter Kaiti. On October 13, 1979, he was married to Vickie Gardner in Puxico, Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Vickie Payne of Puxico, Missouri; one son, Tommy Payne of Cape Girardeau; Missouri; two daughters, Jackie Payne Harmon and Tonya Payne both of Puxico; two brothers, Marlin Payne of Bluffton, Arkansas; and David Payne of Puxico, Missouri; one sister, Tammy Wheetley of Puxico, Missouri; one grandchild, Kaiti, his father, Tommy Payne of Puxico, Missouri and his mother Audrie Payne of Puxico, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call after 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Phillip Tanner of Puxico, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the McGee Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
