Martha Webb

Martha R. Webb, daughter of the late William F. Sr. and Frances Fisher Webb, was born in Dexter, Missouri on May 12, 1936, and passed away at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri on December 1, 2010, at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was raised in Dexter before moving to St. Louis. She had lived in St. Louis until her retirement as a Yellow Pages Supervisor with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Upon retiring she moved back to Dexter, Missouri in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, Missouri and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Surviving are one nephew, David Webb of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one niece, Melanie Carr of Brownwood, Missouri; and a host of special friends whom she considered her family. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, William F. "Bill" Webb, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2010, after 10:00 AM at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, Missouri. Services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010, at 12:00 PM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Michael Woods of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
