Martha Elizabeth Stobaugh, daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Ollie Pearl Williams Ethridge, was born in Center Ridge, Arkansas, on January 31, 1919, and passed away at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Missouri on July 26, 2012, at the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 25 days. Mrs. Stobaugh moved from Arkansas to the Charter Oak community in 1946, where she and her husband farmed until moving to Dexter in 1985. She was a member of the Church of Christ. On January 4, 1936, she was married to William Avery Stobaugh in Center Ridge, Arkansas. Surviving are her husband, William Avery Stobaugh of Dexter, Missouri; four daughters, Rebecca Sue Baldwin of Catron, Missouri, Glenda Ruth Barber of Dexter, Missouri, Margaret Ann Weaver of Longview, Texas, Kathy Rhea Jones of Bloomfield, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Bryant of Springfield, Arkansas, other family and friends also survive her. She was preceded in death by one son, William Charles Stobaugh on December 31, 1957, and one brother, Willam Andrew Ethridge in 1926. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012, at 7:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Jim Colvett of Matthews, Missouri officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Center Ridge, Arkansas on Saturday July 28, 2012, at 1:00 pm. with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
