Martha M. Ragsdale, daughter of the late Archie and Lucinda Gibbs McDowell, was born near Marmaduke, Arkansas on January 18, 1917, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Malden, Missouri on December 5, 2007, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Ragsdale had lived in Arkansas before moving to Southeast Missouri in 1949. She had lived in the Bernie and Dexter areas since then. She had worked in processing with the Swift and Hudson Poultry plant in Dexter, Missouri. She was of the Methodist Faith.
She was married to Neebert R. Ragsdale and he preceded her in death in 1950.
Surviving are one daughter, Grace Ragsdale of Dexter, Missouri; one son Raymond W. Ragsdale, address unknown; one granddaughter, Christine Gehringer of Dexter, Missouri; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gladys Irene Hill, one son, Mark Ragsdale, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Friday, December 7, 2007, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Private Graveside services will be held at the Ramer Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke, Arkansas on Saturday, December 8, 2007.
Interment will follow in the Ramer Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke, Arkansas with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
