Mark Lewis Akin

Mark Lewis Akin of Dexter, Missouri, son of the late Lewis William Akin and Penny Gay (Bays) Akin was born on December 2, 1973, in Flint, Michigan, and  passed from this life on July 3, 2023, at Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 49.
 Mark had lived in Southeast Missouri most all of his life.  He enjoyed working on cars and trucks as a mechanic, deeply listening to music, liked to talk and let you know his opinions, and he never met a stranger. He truly enjoyed spending time with family especially spoiling his grandchildren.  
Mark is survived by his mother of the home; three sons, Dillion Akin of Springfiled, Missouri; Ryan Barker of Dexter Missouri, and Anthony Reffert Akin of Michigan; two daughters, Cierra Phillips of Essex, Missouri, and Austin Deason of Parma, Missouri; six grandchildren; one brother, Mike Akin of Dexter, Missouri; one sister,  Angie Charles of Bernie, Missouri; a close personal friend, John Malone; as well as a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father;  and his stepdad, Marvin Leon Stewart.
 A Visitation service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow with Pastor Ray Rowland officiating at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
