Marion Lee Adams of Puxico, Missouri born to the late Edward and Myrtle (Baker) Adams on March 28, 1934 in Lowndes, Missouri passed away on October 26, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Marion had been a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma for the last three years. He lived in Puxico, Missouri; St. Charles, Missouri; Detroit, Michigan; and Lowndes, Missouri. Marion was a committed Christian and served faithfully as a teacher and deacon at First Baptist Church of Harvester (1962-1993); and First Baptist Church of Puxico, Missouri (1994-2019). He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Marion was an accomplished carpenter and owned a small construction company in St. Charles, Missouri, building homes for many residents in St. Charles County. He retired to raise cattle on a small farm in Puxico, Missouri. He enjoyed serving the Lord, participating in Mission projects to build or remodel churches, helping his friends and family, and camping and fishing. He loved God, his family and friends deeply and was well loved. On November 07, 1959 in Lowndes, Missouri Marion married the love of his life Orpha Bernice Barks. Surviving Marion is two daughters Sonia (Scott) Vicars of St. Peters, Missouri and Tonia (Robert) Kellogg of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Samantha (Elisha) Gardner, Zachary (Amy) Vicars, Andrea (Jonathan) Johnston and Lucas (Lauren) Vicars; nine great grandchildren. Marion was preceded in death his parents Marion and Myrtle Adams; four brothers Ivan Adams, Junior Adams, Orvas Adams and Denver Adams; two sisters Eunice Walton and Stella Ward; four siblings who passed away at young ages and one grandson Reagan Kellogg. A host of family and friends also survive. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 31, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri and on Monday November 01, 2021 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Service will be held on Monday November 01, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, Missouri with Minister Justin Miller and Minister Zachary Vicars officiating. Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
