Margie Worley, daughter of the late Charles Clinton and Lola Blanch Taylor Boyt, was born in Como, Missouri, on November 28, 1922, and passed away at her home near Doniphan, Missouri on April 17, 2012, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 20 days.
Mrs. Worley had been a resident of Stoddard County, Missouri most of her life. She had moved to Doniphan three years ago. She was a member of the Grandin Full Gospel Holiness Church in Grandin, where she served as a board member. She had worked at Elders Manufacturing and at area nursing homes.
She was married to Eldridge Sebb Worley and moved to Georgia. Mr. Worley, serving in the U. S. Army, was deployed to Europe during WWII shortly afterward and lost his life serving his country.
Surviving are one son, Dale Worley of Bloomfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Matt Worley of Bloomfield, Missouri, David Worley of Dexter, Missouri; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Boyt of Puxico, Missouri, Perry Boyt of Dexter, Missouri; three sisters, Gloria Clowes of Marble Hill, Missouri, Donna Boykin of Doniphan, Missouri and Dorothy O'Neal of Puxico, Missouri. Other family and friends also survive her. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Clinton Boyt, two in infancy, Doyle Edward and Clarence Albert Boyt; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Morgan and Pansy Ilene Hopkins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20 , 2012 after 10:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Randy Robinson of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Barker Cemetery near Bernie, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
