Margie Leonard, the daughter of the late Loyd Thomas and Gladys Ruth Patterson Miller, was born in McNairy, Tennessee on July 18, 1946, and passed away at her home in Parma, Missouri on May 19, 2008, at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 1 day. Mrs. Leonard had lived most of her life in Parma, Missouri. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma where she was very active in sending out birthday, anniversary and get well cards on behalf of the church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cooking for her family. She truly enjoyed the companionship of her two dogs Razor and Blade. She enjoyed craft making, oil painting and flower arranging. One of her personal accomplishments is that she owned and operated Margie's Restraunt in Parma. . On August 2, 1964, she was married to J. C. Leonard in Catron, Missouri. Surviving are her husband J. C. Leonard of Parma, Missouri, one daughter: Sharon Adams of Marion, Illinois. One son: Duwayne Leonard of Swansea, Illinois. Two grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Miller of Parma, Missouri, Bobby Miller of Clinton, Tennessee; and one sister, Dorothy Eaton of Parma, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Dutton, and one brother, Paul E. Miller. Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Thursday May 22, 2008 at the Parma First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Parma First Baptist Church in Parma, Missouri with the Bro. Cory Godsey and Bro. Frank Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Parma Cemetery in Parma, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
