Margaret Shelby

Margaret (Maggie) Shelby of Advance, daughter of the late John P. Jeffrey and Minnie Louise Johansmeier, passed away May 15, 2020 at St Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Maggie was a member of the Puxico First Baptist Church in Puxico Missouri. She enjoyed working and delivering food for the Puxico Nutrition Center. Margaret was a very loving person and had a great since of humor. She didn't dwell on the heart disease that took away many of her activities but made the most of her new way of life. She was loved by many family members and friends. Maggie married Norman Leroy Shelby on August 30, 2003 in Eldon Iowa. Surviving is her husband, Norman Shelby, of the home, two sons and spouse Michael Conger of Hedrick, Iowa, and Donald (Marla) Conger of Muscatine, Iowa; two daughters and spouses, Phyllis (Donald) Turner of Tuscumbia, Missouri and Theresa (Kirby) Vorhise of Santa Marie California; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four brothers and spouses Charles (Betty) Jeffrey of Des Moines, Iowa, Jerry Jeffrey of Eldon, Iowa, Dennis (Donna) Jeffrey of Eldon, Iowa and Ronald Jeffrey of Belton, Missouri; seven sisters and spouses, Joann (Arlen) Chambers of Des Moines, Iowa, Ruth Rogers of Davenport, Iowa, Arlene (Jim) Kildow of Eldon, Iowa, Carol Ann (Joe) Turner, of Davenport, Iowa, Linda Kay Coon of Davenport, Iowa, Kathryn Jones of Eldon, Iowa, and Debra Murphy of Eldon, Iowa. Other family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three sisters, Marilyn Carter, Donna Hulbert, and Rhonda Jeffery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 12:00 PM in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield, Missouri, officiating. Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
