Margaret Jean Pursell

Margaret Jean Pursell, daughter of the late O. C. and Bertha Churchill Porter, was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on November 18, 1925, and passed away at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri on May 3, 2007, at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 15 days. Mrs. Pursell had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of her life. She had worked at Elders Manufacturing and the Stovall's Department Store. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church in Dexter. On November 28, 1946 she was married to Dale Pursell in Dexter, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2006. Surviving are two sons, David and Phyllis Pursell of Florissant, Missouri, Tony and Elaine Pursell of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kevin & Danielle Pursell, Kelly Pursell, John Pursell, and Ashley Jarrell; three great grandchildren, Brendan Pursell, Brooke Pursell, and Landon Jarrell. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Porter Adams. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Roger Wooten of Dexter, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Dexter First Nazarene Church or the Ben Kruse 18 for Life event.
